The design inspiration for this artwork came from the intersection of two of my favorite Alaskan rituals: lighting candles on chilly Arctic winter nights and planting flowers each summer to celebrate 24 hours of daylight!

Hygge is a Danish word which means to create a warm, comfortable, or cozy environment.
